Policies

Photo & Video:
I often take photos & videos of my guests & share them on my social media platforms & website for others to see.  I will not sell your photots or videos, you are not a model, & there is no compensation for these photos.

The kind of photos I take:
-The back of your hair, no face
-The side of your hair, profile, without your face
-Profile with some of your face
-Front facing, with your face covered
-Front facing, showing your face

When posting you photos and/or videos of you on my social media, I will not use your name. 


You can request to show your face or not. You can ask to see the photos on my camera & request I delete any photos you do not like, & watch me delete them in real time in front of you. 

You can opt into just the photos, just the videos, both photos & videoes, or opt completely out of the photos & videos. 

Any photos you love & want copies of, just ask! I will gladly email, send through facebook messenger, etc, any & all photos I save to you at no charge. 

It is my goal to grow my portfolio of my work while respecting my guests. 
I'd love to showcase your beautiful hair on my social media & website.

 

Chemical Services
 

Genetics, medications, hormones, & your overall life style & health play a role in your hair & results of chemical services.

Previous chemical services done at a salon or at home:
Coloring your hair- lighter or darker, color remover, lightner, bleach, semi color, demi color, smoothing treatments, perms, & relaxers present their own risk.

Even if the color is faded or you colored over it, it is still present in your hair until it is cut off. 

Well water, hard water, pool water, copper pipes:
Minerals build up in your hair & can cause a reaction with color services. 
These reactions are unpredictable & can happen after multiple times of using the same product.

Product Buildup:
Product buildup can prevent color from fully depositing in your hair.  It can also prevent lightner from lifting your color properly

 

For best color results, select "Detox Treatment" under the "Kari Add On" drop down menu when booking an appt. 
This Detox Treatment removes buildup for better color & lightening results. 

Other Variables:
There are other unpredictable risks not mentioned above that may occur during your chemical service. 
It is very important that you tell Kari if your scalp burns, itches, or if you experience any kind of scalp discomfort. 

Service Satisfaction & Product Return
I will strive to give you the best service & results that I can. 
Sometimes one's hair goals are not achievable for various reasons, included but not limited to:
-Hair damage
-Previous chemical services
-Risk of hair damage

 

Sometimes miscommunication happens & I misunderstand the end goal. 

Should you ever have any questions, need an adjustment to your cut or color, please reach out to me within 7 days of your service.

Please include your name at the beginning of your email or text.

You & I will then make an appointment so that I can remedy the issue. 

If anyone other than myself performs any alterations to your cut or color, my offer to fix any issues become void. 

 

Product Returns
I will do my best to recommend the best product for you.  If you purchase a product from me at the salon & are unhappy with it, I will happily exchange the product for another or for salon credit. 
Refunds will not be provided as I can not restock the products once they are opened.
Reach out to me within 10 days if you are unhappy with any product. 

Cancellation, No Show, No Contact & Deposit Policies
Cancellation Policy:
Please cancel your appointment with in 48 hours before your appointment time. I understand life happens, canceling your appointment at least 48 hours before your appointment time gives me time to fill that time slot for someone.
If you do not cancel your appointment 48 hours before you appointment you may be charged 50% of the booked service. 

Sickness:
If you become sick/ill, please email me or text me so that I can move or cancel your appointment. Even if you become ill hours before you appointment- I will not charge a cancellation fee.  I appreciate you not bringing your germs into the salon.  


No Show, No Contact:
If you do not contact myself or Adorn Salon Studio via text, email, phone call, voicemail, and do not show up to your appointment, I will call you approximately 10 mins after your appointment time. 

If you do not answer or reach out,
you may be charged 100% of the service booked.

I understand life happens.  We can't predict illness or emergencies.  All I ask is that you reach out to me as soon as possible.



Running late to your appointment:
I understand that life happens & you may run late due to conditions beyond your controll, such as traffic.

If traffic is backed up, please call me at 803-233-4421 or Adorn Salon Studio at 803-358-8112 & leave a voicemail that traffic is backed up & you are on your way.  


Service Deposits:
Some services require a deposit in order to book the appointment. This deposit is applied to your appointment the day of your appointment.

Privacy Policy
I promise not to sell, rent, share, or otherwise release any of your private information that is collected through this website,booking website, or inperson. 
This includes your address, email address, phone number, medical conditions, & medications. 

There are 2 exceptions to the above statement:
1) On the rare occasion you have a medical emergency during your appointment.
I will share your medical conditions & medications that you have shared with me to the responding emergency personnel so that they can better help you.
2) If you were to go missing. If police or any other agency contacts me regarding your well-being, I will disclose any information to help them help you. 


All information will be used to communicate with you including but not limited to, appointment communications, email newsletters, special offers, other information related to Kari Bose Hair Stylist, LLC.
